Introduction to drawing through variety of methods, both traditional and contemporary. Emphasis placed on analysis of space and form as well as familiarization with and control of drawing material. Introduction to line, perspective, shading, and texture.

CLO 2) Students will create drawings using a variety of traditional drawing materials such as paper, graphite and charcoal.
CLO 3) Students will acquire and use the vocabulary necessary to describe and analyze drawings.
CLO 4) Students will discover and discriminate between important artists and artistic styles found in Western Art.
CLO 5) Students will demonstrate the ability to present artwork professionally.
CLO 6) Students will demonstrate their ability to ascertain and describe a variety of qualities in drawings during a critique session.
