ART 2601 - Sculpture for Non-Art Majors 3 Credit(s)
An introduction to the fundamental concepts of sculpture in a studio environment. Students will become familiar with the materials and techniques used in sculpture. This course will not fulfill the requirements for a major in art.
Course Type: Studio/Performance Delivery Method: In-Person CORE42 MOTR Number - Name: MOTR PERF 105S - Studio Art - Sculpture Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will construct original sculptural objects using a variety of media, materials, and techniques.
CLO 2) Students will build sculptural objects that meet the parameters of assigned projects with quality craftsmanship.
CLO 3) Students will describe and choose the best and most appropriate means of presentation for their sculptural objects.
CLO 4) Students will identify the visual vocabulary of art, specifically of 3-dimensional art.
CLO 5) Students will discuss critical, historical and analytical approaches to 3-dimensional art in oral presentations, class discussions and critiques.
CLO 6) Students will apply safe working practices and maintain a shared studio space.
