ART 2510 - Ceramics II 3 Credit(s)
Continuation of Ceramics I with more emphasis on wheel throwing skills, experimentation with glazes and creative design and expression. How to run a ceramics facility is covered through course participation in studio operations.
Prereqs: ART 2500 with a grade of C or better Course Type: Studio/Performance Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will utilize acquired skills and further instruction to make more advanced forms in clay.
CLO 2) Students will learn about glaze mixing and formulation.
CLO 3) Students will learn about clay mixing and formulation.
CLO 4) Students will learn how to fire electric and gas kilns.
CLO 5) Students will refine their design techniques and ideas.
CLO 6) Students will gain an awareness of contemporary and past artists and practices in the ceramic field.
