ART 2860 - Studio Lighting 3 Credit(s)
Provides hands-on instruction in the photographic studio in the manipulation and utilization of light for the production of professional quality images. Students are taught to accurately control lighting for portraits, objects, products, etc. to create strong portfolio images. Cost of course supplies may exceed $200.
Prereqs: ART 2810 with a grade of C or better Course Type: Studio/Performance Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will demonstrate a refined understanding of light and form.
CLO 2) Students will employ the basic mechanics of studio lighting to create visually compelling images.
CLO 3) Students will implement different equipment and techniques to solve visual photographic problems and concerns.
CLO 4) Students will further explore studio portraiture as well as object/product image-making.
CLO 5) Students will produce a professional portfolio of images reflecting their studio lighting experiences.
